SoundTrap is a free Digital Audio Workstation (or, in English...a music software). You can create a free account on the website, or download a free app for tablets and phones. If at all possible, please use laptops as they have more features. In this course, designed for Year 7 and 8 students, Jack introduces the basic features of digital music. Each lesson proposes a different approach to music making: from drawing notes, working with chord progressions, sampling household objects, using and crediting other people's work, setting words to music, etc. Luckily, all the skills learned on this course, will be easily transferrable to other platforms (BandLab, AudioTool, or professional software such as Ableton Live, Logic, etc.). The positions and names of buttons might change, but all the key concepts remain the same. We thank you for enrolling in this course and, as always, we welcome your feedback and suggestions for future content!
