Are you passionate about storytelling? Have you always wanted to bring your stories to life? Then you have come to the right place!

Momocuri is a course that will enable you to code your very own video game based on your original story. Each lesson will provide you with a step-by-step guide starting from creating your character to the final battle music! To make the learning process accessible to all students at different levels in their programming journey, we have divided up the course in three difficulty levels: green (easy), yellow (intermediate) and red (advanced). Feel free to follow the instructions that best suit your current skills. You can always come back to attempt the higher levels once you’re ready to challenge yourself further!

Momocuri is a course that delivers STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Mathematics) sessions in line with the national curriculum subjects: Computing, Mathematics, English and History.

The goal of the course is to deliver interdisciplinary sessions to students and equip them with the necessary tools needed to create their own video games. Each lesson comes with the Microsoft Arcade link that you can access to check your own work. We have also included Teaching Slides, Lesson Plans and printable Homework Sets, if you are planning on delivering this course in school.

The course is for:

  • Kids attending Key Stage 2, aged approximately 7-11 years and their parents
  • Non-specialist teachers of Key Stage 2
